Gardens: Child Friendly
Ok, so it CAN take a little effort to get the little ones interested in visiting gardens. Often, in their opinion, a flower is just a flower and a tree is a tree - if they've seen one they've seen them all. Many family friendly gardens are cognizant of the need to keep kids from getting too bored, and so they may offer education activities disguised as "fun" for the younger ones. While the activities might not last the duration of the visit, they'll at least give families with younger children some options and hopefully nurture a little nature in the little ones. As a last resort, try to plan visits to gardens that are part of a larger theme park or adjacent to zoos or aquariums. Below are the gardens in this category, listed by region: |
