Golden California is so large that it takes up more than 1/2 of the entire western coastline. It is known for its wide climate differences from the snowy Sierra Nevadas to the sandy beaches of the Pacific coast. Because of its size and varying geography, it may have one of the largest selections of different botanical gardens to visit in the entire U.S.
