Aldridge Botanical Gardens
located in Hoover, Alabama 

This was originally the Coxe family estate but was purchased by Eddie and Kay Aldridge in 1977. The two ran Aldridge Garden Shop & Nurseries for many years. The garden was only opened to the public in 1997.

One of the main features of the garden are the wonderful hydrangeas on display. The 30 acre property also includes a lake and shade garden.

The garden holds special lectures, tours, and garden education classes, including children's activities. Aldridge Gardens is also available for weddings and other events. There are two indoor venues, Aldridge House and the Pavilion. For weddings, there are several outdoor choices as well.
