Bellingrath Gardens and Home
located in Theodore, Alabama 

This is a wonderful and expansive public garden sprawling over 65 acres of the Bellingrath property which includes both the garden and the Bellingrath home which has been turned into a museum.

Too many flower types to list, but you can see beautiful blooms the whole year long. For starters, try Roses in the summer, Camelias in the winter, Azaleas in springtime and Chrysanthemums in fall. Specialty attractions within the garden include the Asian-American Gardens, an award winning Rose Garden, the Butterfly Garden and Formal Garden Terraces.

During the holidays, the gardens hold the famous "Magic Christmas in Lights". They also hold an interesting excursion that includes a trip aboard the Southern Belle River Cruise.
