Blue Spring Heritage Center
located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas

This was originally known as the Eureka Spring gardens because of its proximity to that Victorian village in Arkansas. It is nestled within a loop of the White River and is a historically important Native American area - considered sacred ground by natives, the Bluff Shelter at Blue Spring is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

It has been a tourist attraction with a wide array of plants of flowers since 1948, but only recently were the 33 acres designated as the Eureka Springs Gardens. Later in 2003, it became the Blue Spring Heritage Center. Today over a mile of trails are located in the area and the gardens give a good representation of the crops, plants, flowers and herbs of the Ozarks. Notable attractions include the Medicine Wheel Garden featuring healing herbs and other native plants, the Three Sisters crop garden, and the Woodland Gardens.

The springs themselves output 38 million gallons of water into the lagoon. The grounds are available for picturesque garden weddings with the sites ranging from small little gazebos for intimate occasions or larger parties up to 500 guests at the Spring Terrace which surrounds Blue Spring. Contact the gardens for more information.
