Gilman Park Arboretum
located in Pierce, Nebraska 

Gilman Park is an arboretum that surrounds the Bill Cox Memorial Lake. The 14 acre grounds feature 243 varieties of different trees and shrubs with 647 woody plants total in the park. The flora are viewable along a path that winds through the park. The trees and shrubs are accented by various perennials and grasses.

The arboretum was founded in 1993 with the help of various grants and local contributions. Within the grounds, there are different garden areas, including a Xeriscape garden, Wildflower & Ornamental Grass Garden, a historic Bridge garden, and a butterfly garden. The huge list of different type of woody plants and other flora is available on their site. The arboretum is part of the Nebraska network of arboretums. The current curator of the grounds is Gary Zimmer.
