Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens
located in Woodland, Washington

This special lilac garden might be the target of your next great weekend getaway. There are bed and breakfasts nearby as well as hotels and inns. It's named for Hulda Klager who created over 250 varieties of lilacs throughout her life in her own gardens, and eventually began showing them to the public. In her day, she was known as the "Lilac Lady". Later, her gardens were turned into a non-profit botanical foundation and is currently a National Historic Site.

The gardens are centered around a farmhouse which is surrounded by 19th century Victorian type gardens and the "Flatiron Garden".

There is a carriage barn which now serves as the gift shop as well as a water tower. In the rear of the house the wonderful lilacs span 3.5 acres. In the Spring, they hold a Lilac Festival where they sell the flowers to the public.

The Gardens are available for wedding rentals and for other events.
