Huntsville Botanical Garden
located in Huntsville,
Alabama
This is a large but relatively new 112 acre botanical garden complex. There are numerous different gardens to check out and trails to meander along, including the Dogwood and Nature Trails and the Herb, Fern, Children's and Vegetable Gardens. Of particular interest is their "Central Corridor" Gardens a 5 acre section featuring three different displays: Perennial and Annual, which focuses on those types of flowers which are suited to the Tennessee Valley, and an
Aquatic section which features water plants, like aquatic lily. They've also recently opened up the Nature Center and Children's Garden complex (open May-Sept), which is supposedly has the largest seasonal butterfly house in the nation.
There are a large number of beautiful settings available for weddings and other special events.
