John Langdon House and Gardens
located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Another National Historic Landmark in Portsmouth, this was the house of Governor John Langdon in the late 1700s. The back of the house are where the gardens are located in addition to a large shaded rectangular lawn divided by a 100 foot rose and grape arbor and enclosed by hedges. Also featured are restored beds of perennials and a pavillion. The house and gardens are a popular place for weddings - please contact the house for further information.
