Olcott Park Greenhouse
located in Virginia, Minnesota

The Olcott Park Greenhouse is located in Virginia's Olcott Park next to the Heritage Museum. The park itself is 40 acres of landscaped greenery with various annual and perennial floral displays, a fountain and museum house that depicts exhibits from the old logging era and trolley line.

The greenhouse is 45,000 sq. feet and was built by the Civilian Conservation Corp. Some of the focus of the greenhouse is on exotic plants... the central room which is open to the public is 4,500 sq. feet of exotics from citrus and ficus to spectacular cactus and succulent displays. The smaller rooms are used for propagation and gardening work, and they supply some of the plants for the park and other municipal sites.
