Prabhupada's Palace of Gold
located in New Vrindaban, West Virginia

You wouldn't think there would be a palace of gold smack in the middle of this secluded hilly area in West Virginia - but there is. Sometimes called America's Taj Mahal, the enormous structure is covered with golf leaf, silver, marble and wood and is devoted to Lord Krishna. Garden enthusiasts will be amazed by the two immense flower and water garden terraces that surround the palace. There are lotus and water lilies in the water gardens and roses and other seasonal flowers in the others.

There is a "Garden of Time" slightly to the east which features color seasonals like geraniums, dahlias, zinnias, and marigolds.

The palace tour includes a tour of what is called "Outstanding Rose Garden in North America" on their site. Due to the rural area, make sure to check for detailed directions on their site as some roads leading to the palace may not be marked
