Utah Botanical Center
located in Kaysville, Utah

The Utah Botanical Center is affiliated with Utah State University and was originally located in Farmington. It's now been moved to Kaysville and spans 94 acres. Their mission statement:

"The Utah Botanical Center raises awareness among all generations of how they can enrich their quality of life by preserving precious natural resources. The Center provides educational, recreational, and interactive experiences and is home to innovative research."

Its proximity to Great Salt Lake makes it an area of particular interest for wetland plant and animal studies. They also feature many water conservation garden projects, including the Formal Water Wise Gardens. Other areas include a Children's garden, Heritage Garden and an Urban Wildlife Garden. A butterfly garden is also available and there are larger open spaces such as the Prairie area and Wildflower Meadows. There is a new system of trails that winds around the ponds near the Center.
