Wells Japanese Gardens
located in Newberry, South Carolina 

This is a small Japanese garden that's park listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The garden is undergoing restoration efforts, but it does currently contain 2 ponds with traditional style Japanese stone bridges, a teahouse and plantings including iris, lotus, water lily, dogwood, and cypress. There are walking paths around the park. This was originally a private garden (W. Fulmer Wells) that was later donated to the city.
