Wilcox Park
located in Westerly, Rhode Island

Wilcox Park, which is owned and operated by the Memorial and Library Association of the city of Westerly, was established when Harriet Wilcox donated a 7 acre estate parcel for use as a walking park. It's currently in the National Register of Historic Places. The current garden is an 18 acre public park with an arboretum featuring many different tree species, including a dwarf connfer collection. Other highlights include a koi fish pond, Wilcox Memorial Fountain, flower beds, a Garden of the Senses and a herb garden.

The Friends Perennial Garden is composed of hardier perennials which are meant to flourish from spring to fall. Some the perennials you'll find are salvia, silver mound, sedum, hosta and lamb's ears. The garden is surrounded by a boxwood hedge and features the "Woman's Urn" in the center.

The park also contains eight monuments and several memorials. Interestingly, there's even a tree planted in honor of Rocky Marciano (source: Wikipedia).

The park is available for wedding ceremonies and photography, but not for wedding receptions. Please check with the park for availability and fees before setting up any event.
